Growing up in Pasadena, Juan had the opportunity to explore cultural and culinary experiences in the greater Los Angeles area. At a young age, he began a career in retail and hospitality while studying Visual Design in San Francisco. While there, the proximity to the industry led him down a personal journey of discovering the world of wine.

It was there that his prior experience and journey into wine led to a career in the industry as a Replenishment Buyer for Wine.com overseeing the West Coast market.
