N° 1 Saint-Cernin vintage is a 2017 vintage wine. It is an extremely rare white wine produced from 4 barrels (1,200 bottles). This wine is produced from Chardonnay grapes, grown and vinified in Limoux at the foothills of the Pyrenean mountains in the south-west of France, on a terroir recognized by wine lovers around the world. The wine has a pale yellow and brilliant robe with golden highlights. It is matured in oak barrels and hence offers a very fine, slightly baked smell with aromas of brioche and frangipane complemented by buttery notes. The expression of white-skinned fruit; peach or apricot, and a hint of wood, complete this rich palette. The mouth, round and generous, opens with aromas of fresh or even grilled hazelnut, giving way to minty notes, leading through to a finish with nice tension and a pleasant and surprising salinity.
