San Francisco, California – USA Wine Ratings has announced a major enhancement to the value offered to wineries entering the competition. Beginning with the upcoming edition, every wine entered will receive a comprehensive digital feedback report that goes beyond medals and final scores to provide producers with practical commercial insights for succeeding in the U.S. market.
The new reporting initiative reflects USA Wine Ratings' commitment to recognising outstanding wines while giving producers meaningful feedback they can use to improve future vintages, strengthen market positioning and better understand how their wines are evaluated by leading U.S. wine buyers and trade professionals.
Every entry now includes a comprehensive digital feedback report designed to deliver practical market intelligence alongside competition recognition. Producers will receive detailed score breakdowns, constructive buyer-led feedback, recommendations on product improvement and marketing, and greater transparency by seeing the trade professionals who evaluated their wines.

The USA Wine Ratings feedback report is designed to be more than a scorecard. It provides producers with detailed scoring across Quality, Value and Packaging, buyer-led tasting notes, recommendations on how to improve the product, guidance on how to better market and sell it, and greater transparency into the judging process. Whether refining future vintages, improving packaging or expanding distribution across the United States, wineries receive practical insights they can use long after the competition has concluded.
Every entrant will receive a detailed breakdown of scores across the competition's three judging criteria:
- Quality – Blind tasting assessment of the wine.
- Value – Assessment of whether the wine delivers value at its intended retail price.
- Packaging – Evaluation of the bottle, label and overall shelf appeal.
Rather than receiving only an overall score, producers will be able to clearly see how their wines performed in each category, allowing them to identify strengths and opportunities for improvement.
Each report will also include written feedback from the judging panel, providing producers with valuable observations from experienced U.S. trade professionals who understand what performs well in one of the world's largest wine markets.
The feedback highlights the wine's strengths, identifies areas for improvement and offers practical insights that producers can use when developing future vintages, refining packaging, reviewing pricing or preparing wines for wider U.S. distribution.
Unlike competitions that simply award medals, USA Wine Ratings aims to provide information that wineries can use to make better commercial decisions.
As part of the enhanced reporting, USA Wine Ratings is also introducing greater judge transparency.
Entrants will be able to see the professionals who evaluated their wines, providing confidence in the judging process and helping producers better understand the expertise behind each assessment.
The judging panel consists of leading U.S. importers, distributors, retailers, restaurant buyers, hotel beverage directors, sommeliers and wine professionals—people who influence purchasing decisions every day and understand the expectations of American consumers.
USA Wine Ratings was created to evaluate wines from the perspective of the consumer and the trade, recognising products that combine outstanding quality with value and packaging that can succeed in today's competitive marketplace.
The new digital feedback reports further strengthen that mission by giving wineries actionable market intelligence alongside industry recognition.
Whether a wine wins a medal or not, every producer will leave the competition with valuable information that can be used to improve products, refine positioning and build stronger relationships with importers, distributors, retailers and on-premise buyers across the United States.
USA Wine Ratings evaluates wines using a unique judging methodology that measures Quality, Value and Packaging. Wines are assessed by leading U.S. importers, distributors, retailers, restaurant buyers, hotel beverage directors and sommeliers, ensuring that winning products are recognised not only for how they taste but also for how well they meet today's market expectations.
For wineries looking to grow their presence in the United States, the competition provides industry recognition, buyer credibility and now, more detailed market insight than ever before through comprehensive digital feedback reports and greater judge transparency.
