Coyote Canyon Winery

Coyote Canyon Winery’s location is at Prosser in Washington. It started at a dry plot of land that was restored from World War II bomb-tests. Today, it has grown to over 1100 acres of quality wine grapes at Coyote Canyon Vineyard located in the Horse Heaven Hills of Eastern Washington’s Columbia Basin. In 1994, the family planted their first 20-acre plot of Cabernet Sauvignon grapes vines. Since then, the vineyard grew slowly and steadily expanding to what it is today. In 2006, Mike, son of Bob Andrews, established Coyote Canyon Winery and created HH Estates Reserve Estate Wines as a tribute to the Andrews family history, the Horse Heaven Hills terroir, and their award-winning wines.

The Coyote Canyon Winery produces an array of award-winning wines including H/H Estates Reserve, 2017 Life is Rose, Coyote Canyon Merlot, H/H Estates Reserve Bozak, Coyote Canyon EL Chispear Albarino, Coyote Canyon Primitivo, Coyote Canyon Tempranillo, H/H Estates Reserve Artist Series, H/H Estate Reserve Robert Andrews, Coyote Canyon Barbera, H/H Estates Reserve Michael Andrews, Coyote Canyon Tres Cruces, Coyote Canyon Albarino, H/H Estates Reserve Big John Cab, H/H Estates Reserve H/H Buck, and Coyote Canyon Albarino Concrete Fermented. Each of these wines is dedicated to the three generations of the Andrews.

The winemaker Justin Michaud has been with the winery since 2014. He has worked in the wine industry for over 18 years, with several years in Washington state.

“I’m enjoying working with Coyote Canyon Winery. The Estate Vineyard is growing several interesting varietals and I enjoy showcasing the quality of the vineyard through the expression of well-balanced wines. I am especially excited to work with the Albarino and Roussanne on the white side, working to make them even crisper and more aromatic. For the red side, I’ve enjoyed making the Grenache and other Rhone-style reds from the vineyard and glad that I have a chance to work with Cabernet Sauvignon, which grow exceptionally well here.” - Justin Michaud

The partners of Coyote Canyon Winery are focused on growing world-class wine grapes. They grow 25 varieties of grapes in their vineyard which are used by around 30 top wineries of the Northwest.
